H3C Plus Joins the Family Business Australia (FBA) — What It Means for Us and Our Community

We are excited to announce that H3C Plus is now a proud member of Family Business Australia (FBA). We are proud to be and 100% Australian owned and operated.

This is more than just a membership — it represents alignment, opportunity, accountability and commitment. Below is what this means for us (and for our clients, partners, and team).

What is FBA?

FBA is the peak body in Australia and New Zealand for family-owned and controlled businesses. Family Business Association Its mission is to support family businesses in building resilience, governance, sustainability, and longevity through education, peer networks, advocacy, and specialised resources. They facilitate peer Forums (small groups of business owners who meet regularly), run education and leadership programs, deliver research and thought leadership (e.g. the Family Business Barometer), advocate for policy settings favorable to family businesses, and connect members with accredited advisors. In short, FBA is a hub for the unique dynamics and challenges—and opportunities—of family businesses.

Why This Matters for H3C Plus

1. Affirmation of Our Identity & Values

By joining FBA, we’re publicly affirming that we are a 100% Australian-owned and operated business. It highlights that, beyond being a security technology and services company, we are a family business at heart—rooted in legacy, stewardship, and generational thinking.

2. Access to Tailored Support & Expertise

The challenges faced by family businesses—succession planning, governance, balancing family dynamics and commercial imperatives—are often quite different from those in non-family firms.
With FBA membership, we gain access to frameworks, advisors, peer groups, tools, and best practices specifically designed for family enterprises. This strengthens our ability to make sound decisions for both business and family.

3. Stronger Networks, Deeper Connections

One of the biggest value levers in FBA is peer connection. Through Forum Groups and member networks, the people behind H3C Plus can engage with other family business leaders who “get it”—the highs, the tensions, the dilemmas. These relationships can lead to new collaborations, mentorship, referrals, and fresh perspectives.

4. Credibility & Trust

Being associated with FBA adds to our credibility as a business that values long-term thinking, governance, accountability and continuity. Stakeholders—be they clients, suppliers, financiers or employees—might see our FBA membership as a signal that we are committed to institutional strength, not just short-term results.

5. Voice in Advocacy & Policy

Family businesses form a significant portion of the Australian economy. Through FBA, H3C Plus can more credibly lend its voice to advocacy efforts—helping shape policy, regulatory, and economic environments that support sustainable business growth, especially for family-run enterprises.

6. Learning & Innovation

FBA runs research (e.g. the Family Business Barometer) and publishes thought leadership. We can tap into fresh insights on trends, risk factors, governance innovations, next-gen leadership, and more. That helps keep H3C Plus adaptive and ahead of curve.

What This Means for Our Stakeholders

  • For our clients & partners, it means we are investing in our institutional strength—and continuity—so we can reliably support you over the long run.

  • For our team, it signals a culture of professionalism, governance and growth, not just informality or family ties.

  • For the next generation in our business, it means we’re preparing the soil now—structuring, systematising, educating—so that transitions can be smoother, less conflictual, more future-ready.

Looking Forward

Becoming part of FBA is not an endpoint. It’s a commitment—to continuous improvement, transparency, and generational stewardship. Over the coming months you’ll see us engaging more deeply with FBA’s programs (Forums, peer groups, education), contributing to the family business discourse, and leveraging the resources to build a more resilient, thoughtful enterprise.

We are proud to take this step. To all our clients, partners, colleagues, and family: thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we’ll keep building.
